IMPORTANT: Once you have purchased your WATCHMAN Camera/Sensor or your GHOSTMAN device you will need to activate the Simcard and the Warranty period. Please follow the login procedure shown on the ACTIVATON page. You will be required to make a Credit Card payments to maintain and operate your device. This will ensure that your security is maintained continually by connection to the mobile service.
Q. What do I require as my Mobile Phone to connect with the device?
You will require a mobile phone that has the capacity of 3G and video reception and the location of the device requires 3G mobile reception.
Q. What is required to install the WATCHMAN device?
All that is required is a 240v GPO power socket that is located near to the location of the unit. Preferably this will be concealed in a ceiling space or be similarly located behind a wall. The AC/DC adaptor plugs into the power point and the sensor unit. The power must be turned on for the unit to charge the batteries and operate correctly.
Q. How is the WATCHMAN device installed?
The device has been prepared for immediate installation and activation. All you are required to do is to unpack it and locate it with connection to a 240v power outlet. Switch it on and allow 24 hours for the batteries to become fully charged and the activation to occur. Follow the instruction as shown on the INSTALLATION GUIDE with the package.
2.0 DURING INSTALLATION
Q. The unit does not connect to the network?
No network coverage (red LED will flash twice) – first check that the Sim-Card is inserted correctly, if so move the unit to another location to establish a connection.
Q. The unit does not communicate with my mobile phone?
Check that the Sim-Card has been activated and has enough credit.
Q. The unit does not TXT me that it is armed when auto arm has been set?
Check that the correct time and date has been programmed.
Q. The unit only sends a TXT to the second person on the list?
Check that the suffix B (for both TXT and Video) has been programmed after the phone number.
Q. I can’t connect to the camera when I call it?
Make sure you are entering the correct password to gain access.
Q. I can’t hear any audio even though I have plugged in a MIC?
Check that the MIC is inserted all the way to make a good connection.
Q. I can’t view images or playback video clips from the memory card?
Check that you have the appropriate program loaded on your pc to view images and playback video footage.

3.0 FEATURES & OPTIONS
Q. How does the standard unit operate in working mode?
The unit will be activated by the inbuilt motion sensor or the door sensor supplied, once it is armed. You can arm and disarm the unit via the remote or your mobile phone. You can also access the sensor via your mobile phone and view the location.
Q. What charges should I expect of the simcard?
The recommended Simcard is of a 24 month activation period. Charges will apply on a standard monthly basis payable monthly in advance. Charges to the Simcard will only occur should the camera be activated by a site disturbance or by accidental or experimental activation. These things should only be of an emergency occurrence. Extra charges will result should you activate your camera on a regular basis above the recommended use.
Q. Are there any additional activation devices?
Yes you can install a smoke detector and an audible alarm. You can also install a panic button for any employee, or anxious resident or relative. The panic button is waterproof and can be worn 24 hours.
Q. What happens when the sensor is activated?
The time lapse from the motion sensor is 20 seconds for the Simcard to dial your mobile. The Simcard will automatically dial the remaining numbers in preferred sequence should any previously called mobile be unanswered. Video screening of the location and the disturbance is shown. Do not turn off your mobile whilst a disturbance is in progress as it will turn off automatically after 2 minutes. You can then take suitable action to address the problem, call the Police etc.
Q. How best is it to allocate the mobile contact numbers?
The principal receiver should be the occupant or owner. The 2nd receiver might be a relative, carer or neighbour of the person (Grandma) you have installed the Device for, or someone nearby who can make a timely inspection of the premises after being alerted and checking the location by video. The 3rd and 4th receivers are at the owner’s discretion, however unless you wish to refer one number to a support group or have agreement with any emergency service, two numbers should be sufficient in most instances. In the event that you have taken the initial video alert and are a remote distance from the SENSOR location, it is then best to call the 2nd receiver and refer them to the problem.
Q. What happens if the phones are unanswered?
No record of the video activation will be made. Clearly the 4 phone options are a reasonable coverage in most circumstances. A text will be sent to one phone to notify you that something specific has occurred.
Q. What happens if the power fails, or the power supply is tampered with?
A text will be automatically sent to your mobile phone indicating the reason for the notification.
Q. Can the unit be moved?
Yes it can be moved to any location at any time whereby a change in security is envisaged.
What are the advantages this unit has over other security devices?

- You can nominate/transfer the responsible person and create a hierarchy of other persons who can take the call and devise a plan of action in any emergency.

Q. What is the Warranty period and what does it apply to?
24 months from the date of supply. Warranty includes replacement for faulty workmanship only. No claims for damage or operation outside of the guidelines will be allowed. Refer the conditions of sale and the Warranty.
Q. Where can the device be used?
Anywhere there is 3G mobile coverage in an interior location. This is not? an exterior product and should not be used in any such situation where it can be affected by weather or extreme temperatures.
Q. What is the best action in the event of an emergency?
Take immediate action to call the police, fire brigade or any other emergency service appropriate to what is happening. Do not take matters of crime into your own hands.
Q. Does the unit have a loudspeaker attachment?
Yes the loudspeaker device is available. Please consult the Website. Should you wish to converse with the intruder, you will need to consider your statement carefully. Q. Can this unit be installed in conjunction with other security devices?
Yes it can be utilised in any commercial or industrial location as an add-on to your existing security. This is an instant device that will notify you of any unwanted occurrence “immediately it is happening”. All other CCTV devices and the like can still provide important data for police or security use.
Q. Can I access the unit from my Mobile phone?
Yes you can check on the situation at any time that is convenient. This is also important if you terminate the video warning by accident.
Q. How will the video information be recorded?
The information will be stored on an internal memory card.
Q. Can the unit be switched on without using the remote?

Q. Can the GHOSTMAN unit be installed as a primary security system?
Yes, our periphery device and networking will enable the system to be expanded to 8 Camera/sensors and 56 wireless door/window sensors. You can integrate smoke detectors, additional movement sensors, audible alarms and other devices.
Q. Can either of these devices be extended by other enhancements once the initial installation is completed?
Yes, it is a simple operation to connect additional devices. All are wireless and have up to 300 metres range from the WATCHMAN & GHOSTMAN Units.
